Edito Paris designs two rug collections per year, enriched since 2023 by collaborations with designers. A closer look at four new pieces for winter 24/25, which combine beautiful materials (100% pure New Zealand wool), handcrafted production, and graphic lines conceived as contemporary paintings.

SAIL Rug

EDITORIAL Paris x PIERGIL FOURQUIÉ: Ether Designer Rug
Offering designers an everyday object as a starting point for creating a rug...that's the challenge Edito has given to the contemporary avant-garde. After Marine Peyre and Jean Couvreur, it's Piergil Fourquié's turn to take on the challenge.
To begin his work, Isabelle Desauty, the founder of the company, suggested the movement of a flowing scarf. The result is the Ether rug. Its design evokes the rippling of water in the wind. It took 200 hours of work to delicately hand-knot the 60,000 knots to faithfully reproduce the artist's design. Available in beige or multicolored versions, this rug, with its decidedly contemporary style, can be admired as a painting on the floor or even as a wall decoration.
