Terms of sale
1 - INTRODUCTION:
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply between the company EDITO, with a share capital of €70,000, registered with the NANTERRE Trade and Companies Register under number 80184803700017, hereinafter referred to as “the Company,” and any individual making a purchase via this website, hereinafter referred to as “the Buyer.”
These terms aim to define the conditions of remote sales between the Company and the Buyer, from order placement to payment and delivery.
They govern all the steps necessary to complete the order and ensure follow-up between the contracting parties.
By placing an order on this website, the Buyer acknowledges having read and accepted without reservation these general terms and conditions of sale as well as the prices displayed.
These conditions may be modified at any time without notice.
The Buyer declares to be at least 18 years old and to have legal capacity or parental authorization to place an order on the Site.
2 - COMPLIANCE AND AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCTS:
The products offered for sale by the Company are those shown on the Site on the day it is consulted by the Buyer.
Products are offered for sale while stocks last.
In the event of an error regarding the availability of a product ordered, the Company will inform the Buyer by email as soon as possible. The Buyer may then choose to replace the product with another of equivalent quality and price or cancel the order.
The products offered for sale are described and presented with the greatest possible accuracy. In case of an error or omission in the description, the Company's liability cannot be engaged. Product photographs and descriptions are for informational purposes only and are not contractually binding.
3 - PRICES:
Prices displayed on the Site are in euros, inclusive of all taxes, including VAT, but excluding shipping and order processing fees.
If the VAT rate changes, these changes may be reflected in the product prices without prior notice to the Buyer.
4 - PAYMENT AND PAYMENT SECURITY:
Orders can be paid by credit card or via PayPal.
For online credit card payments, only cards with the “CB” logo, or cards bearing the “VISA,” “EUROCARD,” or “MASTERCARD” trademarks accepted in France, as well as internationally issued cards approved by the Groupement d’Intérêt Économique (GIE) Cartes Bancaires, are accepted.
Validation of the order by providing the card number and expiration date constitutes a mandate to pay the price of the order.
The order amount is only charged when the products are shipped.
If payment fails, the products will not be shipped.
The Company uses the Prestashop secure payment service.
Confidential payment information is not accessible to the Company and is handled directly by the secure service provider.
5 - ORDER:
Placing an order implies the Buyer's express and irrevocable acceptance of the prices, product descriptions available for sale, and these general conditions.
Once the order is validated, the Company sends a confirmation email to the address provided during the order process.
6 - DELIVERY:
Products are shipped to the delivery address indicated by the Buyer when placing the order.
Delivery charges are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.
Shipping fees include VAT. All deliveries are announced by email.
The Company cannot be held responsible for delivery delays due to carrier failure or force majeure (strikes, road or rail network blockages, fires, etc.).
Neither the Company nor the carrier can be held liable if delivery is impossible due to an incorrect or incomplete address.
In case of force majeure, the initially planned delivery time will be extended by the duration of the event.
7 - AVAILABILITY:
If the ordered product is unavailable, the Company will notify the Buyer by email at the address provided during the order.
The Buyer may then choose either to receive a replacement product of equivalent quality and price, subject to stock availability, or to be refunded the purchase price within 30 days of payment.
The shipping costs of the replacement product will be covered by the Company.
8 - RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL:
The Buyer has a legal cooling-off period of 7 full days from the date of receipt of the products to exercise their right of withdrawal, without needing to provide a reason or pay any penalties, except for return shipping fees.
If the 7-day period expires on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is extended to the next business day.
If the right of withdrawal is exercised, the Company will refund the Buyer all sums paid, as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days from the date the right was exercised.
9 - RETURNS:
From the date of receipt of the order, the Buyer has a period of 14 full days to return a product. After this period, the delivered products will be deemed to comply with the order and accepted by the client, and the Company reserves the right to refuse an exchange, credit, or refund.
Returned items must be in their original packaging and accompanied by the return form.
Pre-ordered rugs, made specifically on request due to lack of stock, are neither exchangeable nor refundable.
Custom-made rugs, manufactured according to personalized dimensions, are also made to order and cannot be returned due to their personalized nature.
10 - WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY:
The Company is liable for any conformity defects existing at the time of delivery. It is also liable for defects resulting from packaging.
In case of delivery of a non-conforming product or a product with a hidden defect, the Company agrees to either refund the Buyer the price of the product or exchange it for an identical product (subject to stock availability) or one of equivalent quality and price.
Products modified, repaired, incorporated, or added by the Buyer or any unauthorized third party are excluded from the warranty.
Apparent defects are not covered by the warranty.
Damage due to transport or misuse is not covered either.
The Company shall not be held liable for failure to fulfill its contractual obligations due to unforeseen events or force majeure, as defined by case law.
11 - TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP AND RISK:
Products remain the property of the Company until full payment of the price, regardless of the delivery date. No product will be shipped before full and effective payment has been received.
However, the transfer of risk (loss or damage) becomes effective upon delivery and receipt by the Buyer.
12 - PERSONAL DATA:
The Company is committed to respecting the confidentiality of personal data provided by the Buyer and to processing such data in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978.
In accordance with this law, the Buyer has the right to access, oppose, rectify, or delete personal data concerning them. This right can be exercised by email at desk@edito.paris or by postal mail at:

13 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
All elements of the Site are protected by copyright, trademark, or patent laws.
They are the exclusive property of the Company, and any total or partial reproduction without its explicit consent will result in legal action.
Linking the Edito Paris site to other websites without the Company’s consent is prohibited and will result in a warning and possible legal action.
14 - APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION:
These general terms and conditions of sale are governed by and interpreted in accordance with French law.
In the event of a dispute, the Buyer agrees to contact the Company as a priority in order to seek an amicable resolution.
Failing that, the courts of Neuilly-Sur-Seine (location of the Company’s headquarters) shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
15 - MODIFICATIONS TO THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE:
The Company reserves the right to modify these general terms and conditions of sale at any time. In the event of a change, the applicable terms will be those in force on the date the order is placed.
